I just had a look at your Lion King 2 deviation and it seems as though there's a bit more structure present in that one then there is in this. This one seems a little floaty, especially in the snout area. I'm not sure if this crit will help at all, but even when you're drawing from a flat picture, try and find the planes that are being represented in the lines that are presented and get that across first before going into pretty lines.
